"I just love donkeys, their nature is fantastic - they're absolutely lovely creatures," Karen Rust says, "We've got 11 donkeys, 9 of which we've rescued."
For the last 16 years she's been running a sanctuary in Little Massingham, and today Chocky, Maizy, Barbara and little Beryle are at Norfolk Lavender.
9 year old Max, who's with his dad, says, "They're a bit funny looking aren't they, but they're very cute - and actually quite soft."
It's market day at Norfolk Lavender, and everyone I see, who walks by the donkeys, stops to say hello. It's hard not to really, they are very endearing.
Karen introduces me to Chocky, and tells me how it all began.
"It's down to my grandson. I asked him 16 years ago what he would like, and he said he'd like a donkey! We ended up with one, then you have to have two - and that's how it started."
Now they're often out and about in the community, visiting local schools and care homes.
"When they go in to the care homes, you should see the residents' faces, they just light up - and they just change. I love it.
"You could come to our fields, and the donkeys would be around you - they'd all be wanting you to cuddle them. They're just so loving."
The sanctuary's in the process of applying for charity status, to hopefully help more.
As I give Chocky an ear scratch to say goodbye, he looks up appreciatively, and I can see why Karen is so enamoured with them.
