These terms apply to all advertising bookings in Town & Around magazine and on townandaround.uk. By booking an advert with us, you agree to the terms below.
Booking & Confirmation
A booking request through our website is not a confirmed placement. We'll be in touch to confirm availability, size, and the edition(s) your advert will appear in before anything is finalised.
Copy Deadlines
The copy deadline for each edition is the 12th of the month preceding publication. Artwork received after this date may be held over to the following edition. The magazine is delivered on the last Tuesday of the month preceding its cover date, and published to the web during the week before delivery.
Artwork Specifications
Preferred format: high-resolution PDF with all fonts embedded, sent via our contact form. If you don't have copy prepared, don't panic, we can produce a simple text advert for you, or put you in touch with a local graphic designer for anything needing images or graphics.
Back cover adverts: Type area 180mm x 246mm · Bleed 210mm x 277mm · Trim 200mm x 272mm
Centre double-page spread adverts: Type area 380mm x 246mm · Bleed 410mm x 277mm · Trim 400mm x 272mm
Colour profile: Working CMYK ISO newspaper26v4
Payment
Invoices are issued on receipt of copy and are payable within 5 days of receipt. All prices are exclusive of VAT. If payment is not received by the printing deadline, we cannot guarantee your advert will be included in that edition.
Cancellations
Bookings can be cancelled or amended free of charge up until the copy deadline (the 12th of the month preceding publication). Once copy has been approved and sent to print, the booking is final and cannot be cancelled.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds once an advert has gone to print. If we make an error that is entirely our fault, we will correct it in the next available edition or issue a credit against a future booking, at our discretion.
Multi-Month Bookings
Discounted rates for 3, 6, and 12-month bookings are calculated on the basis that the advert runs for the full term booked. If you need to stop a multi-month booking early, you'll be charged the standard single-month rate for any editions that have already run, with the balance refunded or credited.
Editorial Discretion
We reserve the right to decline or withdraw any advertisement that we reasonably believe is misleading, offensive, or unsuitable for a local community magazine.
Liability
While we take care to proof and print every advert correctly, our liability for any printing error is limited to the cost of the advertisement itself. We cannot be held responsible for losses arising from an error beyond that amount.
