The Discovery Centre, run by Freebridge Community Housing, holds annual celebration
The organisation says the Fun Day, 'proved to be another resounding success, bringing together hundreds of local children, families and community partners for a day packed with free activities and entertainment'.
Held at the North Lynn community hub, there was arts and crafts, sports and games, cycling activities, family support information, emergency service demonstrations, and opportunities to meet local charities and community groups.
Organisers, the Freebridge’s Placeshaping Team, says, "The event reflects the housing association’s ongoing commitment to creating strong, connected communities by working alongside local organisations to provide opportunities, support and experiences for local people.
This year’s Summer Fun Day was made possible thanks to the support of a wide range of partners, including Alive Leisure, Alexis Smith Family Hub, Tech Skills for Life, West Norfolk Autism Group, Early Childhood and Family Service, Evolution Health and Wellness Centre, RISE Community Group, The Beacon Church, Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, Cats Protection, and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
The event provided families with the chance to enjoy a fun-filled day during the school holidays while learning more about the services and support available within their community."
