Event to honour the armed forces & veterans community includes music & an art exhibition
More than 100 people recently came together at King’s Lynn Town Hall to celebrate the experiences, stories and journeys of veterans beyond military service.
The event, put on by charity The Bridge for Heroes, included an art exhibition and music with singing and African drums.
Organisers says it hoped it, 'highlighted that military service is only one part of a person’s story', adding it, 'demonstrated the strength, resilience and diversity that exists within the veteran community'.

Beyond the Uniform is part of the charity's wider project to support veterans aged 35–55 through a programme of creative workshops.
Using storytelling, music, art and the exploration of historical artefacts, it provides opportunities to share and celebrate experiences, while also exploring and addressing long-term mental health and wellbeing challenges.
The charity wants to thank the Norfolk Community Foundation for supporting the project, and everyone who attended and contributed to the recent event - helping create a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Adding the project is, 'a celebration of the people behind the service, their stories, experiences, strengths and creativity, and the journeys that continue long after the uniform is put away'.
