GCSE results for thousands of pupils, with schools achieving impressive results
Staff and students are celebrating another year of impressive GCSE results.
At Springwood High in King's Lynn, a fifth of pupils gained at least one Grade 8 (highest is 9), with some of the best results in the school's history.

Top achievers included Grace Dickson, with 11 Grade 9s, one Grade 7, and one A, “I came in today trying not to be too worried about the results,” she says.
“I thought I might get some 9s, but to get these results is just awesome."

Executive Headteacher Andy Johnson, says, “These results are superb. The staff and students have worked so hard to achieve these.”
And Rebecca Davies-Mays, Head of Year 11, adds, “I am exceptionally proud of this cohort and the results they have achieved. Their hard work and dedication to their studies has paid off."

At Alderman Peel High School in Wells-next-the-Sea there were plenty of smiles too.
Principal Matt Hardman says the results mark the end of 'another groundbreaking year', adding, “We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students.
“To see them grow into such exceptional young people during their time with us, and to see their hard work reflected in their exam results, is something we are incredibly proud of."

The celebrations continued at Marshland High School in West Walton. Emelia Cook, who got ten Grade 9s, one Grade 8, and a B in Additional Maths, says she is proud of herself and 'just can't believe it'.
“History was the result that surprised me the most because when I started it, I just felt like I couldn’t do it and in my mocks, I got a six so I really had to work hard for it, and took up every offer the school offered me, including tutoring."

Headteacher Craig Jansen praised all the students and staff, “These results are a testament to their incredible work ethic and determination, as well as the unwavering support from our dedicated teaching staff and families.
“To see such strong performances across both core and creative subjects highlights the vibrant, well-rounded education we strive to provide at Marshland High School.”

There have been plenty of happy students at Smithdon High School in Hunstanton too.
Acting Headteacher, Sarah Robinson, says, “This year has seen positive progress made in the achievement in the core subjects of Maths and English, with an improvement in the number of students receiving good passes in both subjects.”

One top achiever, Freya Whiting, says she'll miss the teachers, “My time at Smithdon has been amazing,” she says, “All the lessons are put together so well, and I’ve enjoyed all the extra-curricular sports stuff outside of school."
With two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, two Grade 7s, and two Grade 6s, as well as a Grade C in Additional Maths, she'll be studying A-Levels at Springwood Sixth Form.

And at St Clement’s High School, headteacher Nigel Willingham, says it's been 'another strong year'.
"Our Year 11s have poured so much heart and steady effort into their work, and we couldn't be prouder to see that dedication shine through in today's wonderful GCSE results.”

Imogen Garrett secured impressive results - three 9s, three 8s, two 7s and 2 6s, “It’s been a while since we sat these exams so I was scared, but when I opened my envelope there were some really nice surprises."
